Saturday, June 16:

DELTA Ride for the Roses

June 16 is approaching fast, then the regional ride for the roses start again! The proceeds from this event will go to KWF. As in previous years are back 4 different distances: 25km, 50km, 80km and 120km. Through the website you can sign up for one of these routes.

Friday 29 and Saturday, June 30:

Concert at SEA - Brouwersdam

Concert at SEA on the Brouwers in New Zealand with 40,000 visitors per day has become one of the biggest festivals in the Netherlands. It is also the flagship BLØF, the festival in 2012 for the seventh time organizing. Each edition was sold out, and last year even for a few weeks before the gates opened. The unique location overlooking the North Sea, the low entry price and the cozy atmosphere for a weekend, many people reason to come to Zeeland.

Friday, August 10:

Rescue Vlissingen

Rescue Vlissingen is organized every two years by a group of volunteers who all work from their hobby or something to do with assistance, in the broadest sense of the word. Over the years the event has grown into a major international rescue event. To ensure continuity of the event on March 31, 2007 Flushing Rescue Foundation was founded.

Saturday, August 18:

Solex Race - Biggekerke

On classic with roaring engines driving the participants through the streets of Biggekerke. It is driven in different heats. There is a race for the serious speeding drivers, with the antique means of transport is about 60 kilometers per hour can get. In addition, however, the race where they dressed up rides. Nuns at the wheel for a witches broom on the day of the Solex have climbed, Smurfs, Disney Characters .. you can actually dream up here or you see them tearing through the streets.

Flushing Maritime

Also in late August 2012, the yearly festival Flushing Maritime place. Theme for this year is "Steam and tugs. From 23/26 August the Inland Dokhaven Flushing and the backdrop for dozens of ships. Naturally steam and tugs (both historical and ultra modern) as well as tall ships, barges and Zeeland hoogaarzen are located in the enlarged fleet.

Also on the shore there are plenty of related activities that extend from the area surrounding the Arsenal to the Dokhaven: shanty choirs, orchestras course, ship models, maritime artists and much more.

Film by the Sea - Flushing

Film by the Sea is the festival for film and literature. The main strand of Film by the Sea is the Dioraphte Film and Literature Competition. With this official competition program distinguishes Film by the Sea from other film festivals in the Netherlands and Europe. Each edition of the festival has a rolling jury consisting of the big names in the Dutch film and book world. The jury awards the Dioraphte Film and Literature Award to the best new book adaptation, nationally or internationally.

First weekend of October:

Marathon Zealand - Zoutelande

The finest and toughest marathon in the Netherlands takes you along the beautiful coast of Zeeland. On one side you behold amazing views over the Zeeland countryside with lovely villages. Look the other way is there than the North Sea in the distance a vast horizon which occasionally interrupted by passing ships.
The trail runs from Burgh-Haamstede to Zoutelande . A marathon with various height differences. 42,195 meters of climbing and descending.
In other words: worth it
